My son was having math and science help from JL Tutoring. He had been graduated from high school already. He is now doing a major in Commerce and Management. Before having come to JL, he got passing grades in his math class. He needed attention to getting detailed examples and explanations. The instructors were able to provide extra examples and take further steps to giving him affluent practice applications which helped a lot when he was writing tests and examinations. I understood my son wasn’t a fast learner; however the instructors were able to show great extent of patience.

We had been with JL Tutoring for five years since my son’s grade four and he was in grade 10 in the year 2017. At the beginning he was always getting failing or passing grades in his language arts and mathematics. At JL the instructors helped him improve spelling and writing for his language arts at the elementary grades. His math was also improved significantly after his junior high grades. He was getting around 60% before but later got B+ above. The instructors were always helpful and willing to answer questions from parent too. My son always had around 80% for his math and some other classes. They had not only improved his grades at school but also his attitude in completing homework.

I was in grade 6 when was first coming to JL Tutoring. I had been with them for 3 years. I remembered that I didn’t always finish homework for tutoring class or school, so didn’t do well in both math and language. After having gone through the learning strategy suggested by their instructors, I started knowing the importance of completing assignments and practice questions. My performance at school and confidence in learning was improved greatly. Then I always got A grades for the core subjects.

My child is studying in grade 11 now. Before she was going to JL classes, she had trouble with math
and science. After she has enrolled into the JL classes, her grades of both subjects have been significantly improved.

Our son finally completed his grade 12. Now, he is starting his first year of university and is taking business as his major. We want to thank JL's outstanding staff, with their help, our son received high above 90% and 80% in his math and language arts. The staff are patient and would like to inquire about our son's weekly progress at his school. So we know what exactly my son was doing and what he needed to stress on.

My daughter has been doing quite well since the fresh start of the fall term of gr.10 – that's all I have been hoping as a parent. Before my daughter had joined J.L. in her grade 9, she tried to pick a “sound-like popular & big” learning class for her along with her friend; it was a faulty choice after all. When she had questions on her school homework and exercises, the people there wouldn't or might not want to take most of the questions. In addition to that, the staff there didn't really care about the students' work progress. She is now getting high 90 on her mathematics and science. The best thing I really like J.L. is that they would proactively answer and update my child's progress, and definitely solve all the questions my daughter has. She was also motivated by the instructor to change her bad study habits. I believe she's going to keep it up.

My boy finally graduated from his high school and is now doing his first year university in Toronto Ontario. He had J.L. since he was in gr. 8. I remember that he was doing things a bit sloppy back to that time and falling behind with his classes. Since around gr. 9 he stressed the school work more than before and started seeing notable improvements on his math., language arts and science. To cut a long story short, he got distinctions in his gr. 12. But the next concern we are now having is should we move away from Calgary to Toronto. Thanks for everything, J.L.
